We begin our Retreat by exploring Delhi, the capital city of India to blow off some of the steam and excitement of being in India, we will hit some of the best shopping districts in the world, where great deals can be attained on Indian wares that are highly covetted in other areas of the world. Historical Guided Temple Tours to raise our awareness and a sprinkling of Site Seeing along the way.
Learn authentic Northern Indian cooking in a 1-day cooking class from an amazing local chef and bring these skills back with you to keep the experience alive on your tastebuds even when you are back in the comfort of your own home!
Our next stop is the infamous City of Jaipur for all the gemstones, jewellery findings and supplies your heart desires at extremely reasonable prices directly from some of the best world-wide suppliers. Here we will dive deep into some new and creative jewellery-making workshops to expand your current knowledge and offerings in the realm of jewellery creation. Whether it be for sale or just a hobby, these workshops promise to be a show stopper!
In the Pink City of Jaipur, we will have a well-rounded experience of the local ancient sites - City Palace & Amer Fort, we will also have an immersive Rajasthani dinner experience at Chowki Dhani.
Have you ever wanted to learn how to create scrumptious Indian meals to impress your friends and family? Different than the cooking class offered in Delhi, we will have the unique opportunity of learning authentic Rajasthani cooking under the close guidance of Dr. Smita Kulshreshtha, Ph.D in Food and Nutrition. She has been featured on Fox Life TV, Food Guide to India by Penguin Books and a variety of promotions throughout India.
This retreat culminates in a visit to the Holy City of Brindavan in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. This is the city in which Lord Krishna spent most of his childhood. Brindavan has about 5,000 temples dedicated to the worship of Krishna and his divine consort Radha. We may even catch a special festival during our stay but either way, you will leave this journey with a heart full of compassion and hands ready to make inspired creations like none other.
